Beautiful Title

The answer is "What time is it?"

~True Love~
I heard a voice call my name.
I looked up to hear him say,
"All I want is to go out with you."
I didn't know what to do.
He smiled so sweet from ear to ear.
His friend smiled too, sitting there.
They both laughed as I heard one say,
"My friend likes you and he's okay.
Just say yes and you'll make his day."
I said "No" and turned away.

I heard a voice call my name.
I looked up to hear him say,
"All I want is to go out with you."
I still didn't know what to do.
He smiled so sweet from ear to ear.
His friend just giggling, sitting there.
From his desk he looked into my eyes.
My heart melted as I realized
something happened without saying a word.
The chemistry leaped, it flew, it soared.
With a single look he stole my heart.
A different feeling from the start.

I heard a voice call my name.
I looked up to hear him say,
"All I want is to go out with you."
This time I knew just what to do.
He smiled so sweet from ear to ear.
His friend again smiling, sitting there.
"Okay", I said. "I will go out with you."
I smiled at him like I've been wanting to.
That is when they both cheered
regardless of the teacher's sneer.

I'm so happy that I said yes.
Falling in love was effortless.
We never wanted it to end.
We fell in love with our best friend.
For more than a year, there was never a day
where we wouldn't connect in some way.
Our bond together was so strong
that we didn't agree we were doing wrong.
To tear us apart is all that they knew.
The thing they thought they had to do.

I heard a voice call my name.
This one wasn't quite the same.
"All he wanted was to out with you."
I said, "That's all I wanted too."
I missed his smile from ear to ear.
An empty desk was all was there.
I never wanted it to end.
Depression would be my new friend.

Graduation, work, marriage and kids
would fill up the next thirty two years.
That busy life was all that I knew.
The thing I thought I had to do.
I made sure I honoured my vows
while looking for him in every crowd.
No man could ever measure up
to what I knew what was true love.
A sickness, a family with so much stress.
Then suddenly my husband left.

I heard a voice call my name.
I looked up to hear him say,
"All these years I wanted you."
I secretly wanted it too.
He smiled so sweet from ear to ear.
My best friend in life is standing here.
Together again after a lifetime apart,
never forgettimg what what was in our hearts.
I believe in Karma and that's a fact
True love has a habit of coming back.
